Lex KY Doll Artist Plays Hide and Go Seek

This sounds like fun...give me some great ideas for club mtg antics...

Late Spring Doll Fever

Been hitting the sales and auctions a bit. I won a beat up Barbie case with a Midge, TNT Barbie, Pepper, vintage Skipper and Banana Curl Skipper Thurs. eve for $50.

The TNT has some fading on her cheek, someething I didn't spot when I first previewed them. I got there in the nick of time. The dolls were on the first table of the night.

A Revlon doll with box, 10.5", sold for $55. She did have green ear.

Didn't stay for the vinyl 12" Shirley. but I'm sure it was at least $75.

They surprised me and pulled out a NRFB Little Chaps set - I believe it sold for $90.

Am exploring podcasting. I am researching domain names for a separate site. If I go, I go BIG.

That could be my ticket to wealth and fame. Smile

I have an outline and some ideas on guests. I do need to have site set up prior to launch, if for nothing else other than storing my podcast audio files.

I am including a link to the site where I'm learning how to podcast and what I'll need to purchase. Looks like a mic and headset for sure.

I just settled on adolladay.com

It's official now...

Doll finds in Pontoon Beach

Had to share this one. Last Saturday, I drove around So. Illinois on the hunt. After a couple missteps, I wound up in Pontoon Beach, at the flea market there.

I walked around the stalls and was looking thru a bin of newer Barbies when Steve? stopped and asked if I was a collector. He had a storage bin full of dolls and I bought a Tressy, 2 Susie Sad Eyes, a Midge, Grow Hair Francie, Baby Boo and some clothes from him for $45. I hope to see him again.

It was awesome. What a great spring afternoon.

Alaska and dolls

Dolls . I just remembered something. When I was about 5, I flew to Okinawa with a stopover in Alaska. All I remember about that is noticing the Eskimo dolls in the gift shop.

Coming up, my doll program / lecture at the Lutheran Church May 14.

I'm toward the end of Luisa's first batch. Haven't started Alison's yet. There are some great dolls coming so check my listings online.

No major find stories to report. Darn it.

Drove for hours to buy one doll I probably could've won for $50 online. They had this fabulous car there - a 60s Ford Fairlane. I took a few photos.

My Am Girl is getting a brow job, my ponytail is getting new hair and a bubble, new lips. Just saw the photos and they're wonferful. Laurie Everton is doing the repaints for me. She's fantastic.

Ditch has a bunch of my dolls as well. Most of them for restring. Need to call him. He's home.
